Katie & Tom’s Jardines de Alfabia Destination Wedding
What a pleasure it was to design the flowers for Katie and Tom’s destination wedding in Mallorca, set at the picturesque Jardines de Alfabia. The venue really was the perfect setting for their outdoor nuptials. The elegant house dates back to the 16th century and is surrounded by idyllic sculptural gardens and a pretty orchard, within the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.
The Most Divine Mallorca Setting
We worked seamlessly alongside Katie and Tom’s chosen supplier team, most notably their highly talented wedding planner Elegante By Michelle J, to ensure an impeccable approach to their wedding planning and on-the-day logistics.
Our floral creations are always thoughtfully custom-designed together with our couples, and their wedding planner, ensuring the dream vision comes to fruition. For Katie and Tom’s wedding, the flowers brought joyful vibrant colours into the dreamy tropical Mallorca landscape.
We opted for romantic tones of orange, red and hot pink, which harmoniously accented the stunning architecture and natural surroundings of Jardines de Alfabia. Flowers were chosen in a variety of shapes and sizes to create an organic, natural structure to the design. Peonies and roses were especially integral to the show-stopping final look.
The enticing table settings set the most heavenly atmosphere. With the combination of round and long tables, we planned different configurations.
For the round tables, clusters of opulent flowers sat nestled in patterned boxes, and for the long tables, swathes of billowing blooms in elegant vessels created the look of a flower table runner. Tall lit pale pink candles, elegant place settings of rattan and linen in muted tones, as well as chic tableware interweaved effortlessly with the whole look.
Personalised Flower Design
Electric flowers cascading over a wooden arch, made for the most beautiful backdrop to Katie and Tom’s wedding day, providing a canopy effect and gorgeous dappled sunlight perfect for the all-important portraits. Flowers were also arranged in other areas of the venue, accenting staircases and entrance points to delight guests on arrival and give them a taste of what was to be in store.
Playful moments are always a joy to incorporate and a striking historic statue in the water fountain found itself donning a delicate flower crown. For every couple we collaborate with, we look to add personal flair to their flower design which allows their personality to shine through.
Come evening as the sun set into a golden glow, the festoon lights twinkled and the lit candles glowed around the lush flowers, creating a tangible and warm atmosphere as the party continued into the night. As you can see from these incredible images by Violeta Minnick the entire celebration was utterly sublime, with the whole wedding team coming together to flawlessly execute every single little detail to perfection.
