Finca Serena Mallorca Wedding With Organic & Striking Florals

It is a true honour to showcase the beautiful 4-day wedding of Sophie and Harry, who were married in the summer at Finca Serena in Mallorca.

Finca Serena is a venue that oozes luxury with a large estate housing vineyards, lavender and glorious countryside, not to mention intimate spaces indoors and outdoors, which host some of the most exclusive weddings on the island.

We are going to be looking at the wonderful celebrations, both pre and post-wedding, and of course the main spectacular event itself, which we were thrilled to design the flowers for. We worked closely with the venue and the highly talented In Awe Weddings & Events, who were the team behind the planning and design.

Day 1 – An Inviting Chinese-Inspired Welcome Event

Welcoming guests from around the globe to Mallorca, a Chinese-Inspired evening was carefully curated to bring an atmosphere of luck and joy. Red flowers were the centrepiece with orchids, anthuriums and roses arranged in key places during the celebration.

The mantle-piece arrangement was a particular highlight as it created the perfect focal point and backdrop to the enchanting glass conservatory, complementing the couple’s beautiful attire. Bud vases filled with red roses were thoughtfully placed on tables, which worked in harmony with the modern table cards.

Day 2 – Open Air Rehearsal Dinner

The evening before the main event itself was the elegant rehearsal dinner, which was held alfresco in the cobbled courtyard. One long table spanning the space was decorated with an abundance of exquisite red and orange blooms in low bowls and delicate vases.

The impeccable table styling was finished off with a neutral tablecloth, rust orange napkins and taper candles in teal green. Overhead, the festoon lights glowed as the sun set on the couple and their guests, who enjoyed the fine cuisine and flowing drinks.

Day 3 – The Wedding Day

For the wedding day, we planned flowers for multiple spaces, starting with the extraordinary weaving garden aisle. The concept in planning was to create a feeling of walking through a blooming garden, which was achieved beautifully. An organic and fresh archway was placed at the top of the aisle, while flowers and foliage gently climbed up trees and sat nestled in pots, providing scent and visual interest.

The drinks reception was held in the courtyard, featuring informal, comfortable seating and stylish parasols which paired perfectly with natural materials such as the rattan table. Here, we positioned potted plants with organic, natural arrangements in white and green stems.

For the main wedding party, we designed bouquets for the bride and her bridesmaids, as well as buttonholes for the gentlemen that had a contemporary, effortless feel, tying in with the overall scheme of the day.

Following the drinks reception, Sophie and Harry, along with their guests, headed to the middle of the vineyard. There, they had a reception under a wooden gazebo draped in fabric which billowed in the breeze, with far-reaching views of the stunning Mallorcan countryside. Here we dressed the space with flowers cascading down the steps and table arrangements consisting of both flowers and fruit in keeping with the orange, green and cream colour palette.

Day 4 – The Pool Party

A pool party was on the agenda for the final celebrations after a spectacular 3 days. Guests took to the pool area where luxurious loungers, a live DJ and ice cream were awaiting them. Here we re-purposed flowers from the wedding and added to them, creating a vibrant touch which suited the fun atmosphere of the afternoon. Lemon yellows and lime greens worked perfectly with the sunny skies and turquoise water.

Sophie and Harry’s wedding was unforgettable, featuring a talented team behind the scenes who seamlessly worked together to create an immersive and lavish celebration.
