When an industry insider turns to you for their wedding flowers, you know it’s not just any event; it’s a testament to your artistry. Such was the case when the wonderful and talented wedding planner Jess of Studio Sorores approached us for her romantic wedding in the Cotswolds. Having collaborated together on many spectacular occasions, we were deeply honoured to design and create the florals for her special day.

The setting for Jess and Henry’s ceremony was just steps away from their beautiful home in the picturesque countryside, surrounded by lush rolling hills, charming cottages, and captivating scenery. Jess’s colour palette, her affinity for natural florals, and the idyllic backdrop inspired us to draw inspiration from classic English gardens, resulting in a whimsical, organic floral theme.

The ceremony began with a grand floral entrance at the church’s doorway, setting the tone for the day. As guests made their way inside, they were greeted by a symphony of trees, floral meadows, and magnificent floral urns. The designs were brimming with scented garden roses, stocks, delphinium, larkspur, cosmos, clematis, and lush locally-grown foliage. Birch trees framed the altar, artfully bringing the outdoors in.

Jess’s bridal bouquet was a fragrant masterpiece, featuring heavenly scented garden roses, and delicate, locally grown blooms including Japanese anemones, achillea, and the daintily dancing phlox.

Following the church ceremony, the couple hosted an intimate dinner on the grounds of their family home. In contrast to their upcoming grand celebration in October, this event was a celebration of simplicity and intimate charm. Jess curated a romantic, slightly vintage ambiance infused with Cotswolds inspiration, characterised by intricate details and a soft pastel colour scheme. Low-level floral compote arrangements gracefully ran the length of the banquet-style table. Garden-style accent florals and meadow designs surrounded the space, seamlessly carrying the floral theme from the church to the reception and dinner.

We absolutely loved being part of Jess and Henry’s special day – a wedding marked by intimacy, charm, and the beauty of the Cotswolds countryside, brought to life through Jess’ creative vision and some extremely talented wedding suppliers, all beautifully shot by Katie Julia and Faye Taylor Photography.
