This elegant marquee wedding took place on the grounds of Rockliffe Hall, a beautiful 365-acre estate on the County Durham and North Yorkshire border. We had the pleasure of working together with a long-standing friend and event planner Helen Erikson who orchestrated this luxurious, three-day event for her clients; an ultra-wealthy, professional couple who wanted a timeless and classic feel for their weekend of wedding celebrations.
Our team started work on site several days prior to the event, where a show-stopping marquee had been erected on the grounds of the estate – a stunning blank canvas that was to be transformed for the weekend with beautifully curated furniture, flowers, lighting, soft furnishings, and layers of thoughtful finishing touches. Come Friday, guests arrived at the first of three, fabulous events – a relaxed drinks and buffet reception, decorated with our meadow-like florals in pink and raspberry hues.
The following morning, the marquee was transformed for the wedding day with a timeless and elegant all-white palette; beautiful draping flowed throughout the space, which was divided into multiple distinct areas including a dancefloor that provided the stage for not one, but two celebrity singers to perform over the course of the weekend. A raised piano provided the perfect opportunity for a statement floral installation brimming with fluffy white hydrangea, roses, and sweetly scented stocks that seamlessly cascaded to the floor. A show-stopping suspended floral design took centre stage above a central bar while luxurious, tall and low floral centrepieces adorned the circular dining tables, accompanied by generous scatterings of undulating candlelight throughout.
On Sunday, the third and final theme was created with a bold, new blue colour palette. The tablecloths were swapped with navy linen, white vessels were exchanged for colour and blue florals were introduced throughout the existing floral installations to create a brand-new look and feel. We absolutely adored creating the floral designs for this transformative process and working alongside Helen whose attention to detail and impeccable planning and styling resulted in the most stunning and seamless transitions from one day to the next.
