We had the honour of helping to create the Carl and Kiko Matsuyama Wedding.
This stunning real wedding was a modern fairytale with its abundance of florals, haute couture dresses and finished off with a horse-drawn carriage.
From the moment Paula met Kiko and Carl, she knew their wedding was going to be spectacular. Kiko had a clear vision of creating the ultimate fairytale wedding, which was romantic, elegant and above all sophisticated. However, they were keen to create something unique and wanted statement pieces to delight their wedding guests.
The couple chose photographer John Nassari to capture their epic day. We are undeniably thrilled to share some of his beautiful images in this journal post.
The Entrance
Cliveden House has a spectacular staircase leading into the Ceremony room, making a stunning entrance for any bride.
Kiko wore a stunning Grace Kelly inspired Valentino gown with a cathedral veil for the ceremony. Therefore, we chose flowers to complement the delicate lace and satin without detracting the attention away from her entrance.
Bringing Kiko’s romantic vision to life, we used swathes of soft pink and white roses, hydrangeas and orchids, combined with fresh green foliage to create the perfect fairytale staircase. Altogether, the final result was breathtaking as she took her steps into the wedding.
Kiko Matsuyama Wedding Bouquet
Princess Diana’s exquisite cascading bouquet was Kiko’s inspiration for her stunning wedding bouquet.
To create the show-stopping design, we used stunning calla lilies, ivy and blush pink roses. Additionally, delighting all the senses, we added lily of the valley and stephanotis to create heavenly scents as she walked down the aisle.
This bouquet style required intricate wiring and immense skill. Each stem was hand-picked and prepared in the studio on the day of the wedding.
Carl & Kiko’s Wedding Ceremony
The elegant fairytale continued into the ceremony with clusters of candles in hurricane vases, surrounded with sprays of flowers along the aisle.
The aisle florals drew the eye up to the impressive fireplace in the Great Hall. We transformed it with hundreds of orchids, roses and hydrangeas gentle draped over, sprinkled with fresh green foliage. Additionally, traditional stone urns framed the fireplace, filled with even more hydrangeas, roses and beautiful foliage. Finally, the finishing touch was striking and elegant lighting designed by Bespoke London.
It was the perfect backdrop for celebrating their love and saying their nuptials.

The Reception
Guests were transported into a floral fantasy for the wedding breakfast. We transformed the French Dining Room with spectacular floral canopies. In order to transform the dining room we used cascades of white orchids, blush roses combined with hundreds of crystals made these fairytale centrepieces unforgettable.
Finally, we added touches of flickering candlelight and posies of roses and hydrangeas around the tableware for details of romance and elegance while the couple celebrated their wedding.
The Carl & Kiko Matsuyama wedding cake was created by GC Couture. It was a breathtaking 10-tiers, covered in hand-crafted sugar roses, peonies and hydrangeas. Furthermore, we loved collaborating with the GC Couture team to create a garland of fresh roses, orchids and hydrangeas to elevate the cake. Above all, it was a truly opulent and magical centrepiece of the whole wedding.

The Kiko Matsuyama Wedding Venue
Kiko married her handsome beau Carl at the sublime Cliveden House.
Cliveden House is a spectacular Grade I listed stately house set in 376 acres of National Trust grounds. Altogether, it’s truly a jewel of the Berkshire countryside, creating a glorious backdrop for any event. Therefore, from the elaborate to the intimate, it’s one of Paula’s favourite venues.
We worked with Melanie Helen at Cranberry Blue Weddings and Lydia Kenny at Cliveden House, both of whom were a joy to work with. Together with them, we were able to bring the Carl and Kiko Matsuyama wedding dream to life with bespoke floral designs and detailed styling.
