We were absolutely thrilled to work on this chic wedding earlier this month alongside the wonderful Michelle from Pocketful of Dreams. Michelle is known for her tasteful and artful signature style, as well as her immaculate approach to planning superlative events. We have had the pleasure of collaborating with Michelle on many occasions, so when she reached out to us about Zara and Brendan’s wedding flowers, we knew this would be a showstopper.
Fresh white florals with touches of soft taupe and natural greys
The ceremony, which exuded elegance and simplicity, took place in a quaint church nestled in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. To enhance the entrance, we adorned it with an abundant, broken floral arch, followed by a single, statement urn design at the altar. A combination of fresh white florals with touches of soft taupe and natural greys, along with locally grown greenery, resulted in floral designs that complemented and enhanced the beautiful grey stone of the building and the rural surroundings.
A breathtaking celebratory backdrop.
Their reception and wedding dinner unfolded within a spectacular clear-top JB marquee, erected on the grounds of their home. Flooded with natural light and adorned with soft grey draping, the marquee provided a breathtaking celebratory backdrop.
For the centre of the dining area, above the top table, we designed a striking, 9-meter-long focal arrangement suspended from the ceiling. This magnificent creation was filled with English foliage, groupings of rambling roses, seasonal blooms, and decadent crystal chandeliers strategically placed throughout.
A modern and organic aesthetic
The long, banquet-style tables were adorned with a medley of undulating ceramic vases brimming with elegant yet natural florals in soft neutral hues. The theme of the day embraced a modern and organic aesthetic, with soft grey table linen, ceramic plates, elegant glassware, and mixed natural-hued taper candles harmoniously styled throughout.
Above the bar, we crafted our second (of three!) suspended designs of the day – a breathtaking circular hoop of foliage filled with cascading florals, encircling a giant crystal chandelier at its centre. And beyond the bar, the epic dance floor awaited, where florals and disco balls combined to create a spectacular canopy under which guests danced the night away.
The next day
Naturally, the following day, we were back again, this time to dismantle and clear away. Our incredible team rose to the challenge as always, working together to deconstruct the suspended designs we had erected only the day before and carefully remove and pack away the hundreds of delicate crystal candlesticks, glass votives, and ceramics, ready for the journey home. Back at Paula HQ, we sorted what could be composted and recycled, unpacked and organized our vessels and props, and finally called it a day, celebrating another successful wedding with a well-deserved beverage in the sun!
