We were honoured to be a part of Tanika and David’s wedding at the incredible Aynhoe Park. Their special day was as monumental as the venue. We are thrilled to add this fun loving couple to our ‘Real Weddings’ series. Enjoy reading…
I simply loved being part of Tanika and David’s special day. From the very beginning they had a clear sense of what style they wanted and it was in keeping with the stunning setting of Aynhoe Park. I loved working with them to create unique floral designs that broke the norm from how the Orangery had previously been decorated.

Vanilla Rose
Our friend, Jeni, at Vanilla Rose brings a fresh concept to wedding planning; every touch of Tanika and David’s big day was in tune with the couple and the venue. Jeni puts her heart and soul into the planning stages with her couples to guarantee their love story is reflected in the final result. Jeni herself married at Aynhoe Park so returning for Tanika and David was especially significant.
The Bride
Tanika was the embodiment of a classic yet modern bride in an awe-inspiring gown that blew every guest away. The happy couple had a clear vision of their floral styling and how they wanted their day to appear. The Bride’s floral bouquet was a statement of orchids and roses, Tanika wished to steer far from the traditional hand-tied bouquet.
Aynhoe Park
Tanika and David married at Aynhoe Park on the 28th June, 2017. The venue needs no introduction and was the most perfect setting for a wedding as magical as Tanika and David’s. Aynhoe Park sits in the Cotswolds amidst rolling Oxfordshire Countryside; after being destroyed during the Civil War in the 1600’s the house was rebuilt from scratch. Its rich history since then is reflected in all of the quirks and hidden surprises throughout the building. On the day of Tanika and David’s wedding, Aynhoe Park made every request possible. We loved every moment of the day spent at Aynhoe Park with the couple!
I Do
Tanika and David took their vows in the Orangery under a dripping canopy of avalanche and O’Hara Roses, Hydrangeas and Phalaenopsis orchids; they were under the watchful eye of Aynhoe Park’s resident giraffe who sported a floral crown for the big day! Pale, understated shades of cream champagne, peach, white and blush statement designs were the colours of the day.
As the Bridal party and guests sat down for their evening meal they were met with a scented table plan blooming with stunning freesia. Paula particularly loved working on this floral element as she watched guests being greeted by its soft scent.
The top table was styled with gold candles and bud vases before being dressed with flowers from the Orangery after the ceremony. The gold table settings added a touch of decadence to the clean colour palette and was in keeping with the lavish style of the venue.
Raise a Glass
There were many noteworthy elements of the couple’s evening celebration that Paula loved. The ceremony room converted into the evening reception space where the happy couple and guests partied the night away!
A Taste of Heaven
We love working with Cakes by Krishanthi as every slice of her creations taste like a small piece of heaven. Cakes by Krishanthi are masterpieces; her exquisite eye for detail allows her cakes to match the Bride and Groom’s overall wedding style.
Memories
Our incredibly talented friend Pippa MacKenzie was Tanika and David’s photographer. Pippa’s extensive travelling has given her an eye for capturing rare footage; she looks for the unknown and develops it uniquely. Her ability to photograph Tanika and David in the spectacle of Anyhoe Park has resulted in an eye opening library of photographs.
WITH SPECIAL THANKS
Tanika and David were a couple who always looked on the bright side and truly wanted their day to be a celebration of two becoming one. Their strong classical elements merged seamlessly with the playful aspects of Aynhoe Park to suit the couples taste. Paula had a different vision for the Orangery and encouraged the couple to take a spin on the norm and say “I do” in front of the doors; this idea is only a few of the daring ones Paula works on with her soon-to be married couples. We wish Tanika and David all of the love and happiness in the world!
