A 50th birthday really is a celebratory occasion but add a Grade II listed home and the Christmas season too and it really does become the most beautiful spectacular Christmas Birthday event.
THE JOURNEY
The wonderful Hannah from Maple Rose contacted Paula to start the process of florally adorning her clients home for a 50th Birthday celebration. The whole creative process started with an in-depth chat together with Hannah so that Paula could hear Dina’s vision for her Christmas Birthday event.
From this Paula designed a bespoke sleek proposal which encapsulated all the gorgeous styling details and also hand drawn concept illustrations which were presented to Dina at the in-person appointment.
The sample meeting is a really important time for Paula’s planners and clients. It’s a time where they can view the bespoke illustrations alongside sample flowers and foliage from which it will be created.
For Dina’s sample meeting, Paula travelled to her home in Buckinghamshire. Measurements were taken whilst there, so that a bespoke metal frame could be commissioned for the inside Dining entrance arch.
PICTURE PERFECT DETAILS
Paula Collated three key focal areas for Dina and her guests.
A spectacular Christmas inspired welcoming archway filled with tree spruce, fragrant pine and eucalyptus framed the grade II listed doorway. With finishing touch collections of chrome glass lanterns filled with church candles and snowy pinecones.
This installation was designed and created using sustainable mechanics which is a brand value that’s close to Paula’s heart.
The Grade II listed oak panelling entrance in the drawing room was enhanced with a winter foliage arch which framed the classical architectural features. Beautiful, scented foliage’s of Spruce, Pine, Eucalyptus, and asparagus fern we used with touches of crisp white grasses that looked like falling snow. Groupings of textured pinecones and lanterns were echoed from the outside doorway design.
THE FLORAL TABLESCAPE
On the dining table clusters of etched glass vessels filled with modern groupings of one type of flower were styled down the centre of the table to create a winter pavé design.
Snow White ruffled Ranunculi’s (One of Dina’s favourites), Calla lilies, Tulips, were placed alongside gorgeous Veronica, timeless Hydrangeas and Roses.
No Christmas table would be finished without an abundance of candles to create a gorgeous intimate atmosphere. Paula sourced these incredible modern glass candelabras to create impact up high and nestled textured glass tea light holders between the groupings of flowers on the table.
Finishing the styling of this tablescape design were the guest place settings. Forest green napkins sat perfectly on gold rimmed charger plates with each guest menu being completed with a delicate sprig of scented Christmas greenery.
