Jane & James | St. Mary’s Cadogan & The Corinthia Hotel | City Wedding | 16th February
After meeting the couple we knew we would love to be a part of their day and bring their wonderful ideas to life with a stunning city wedding.
After meeting online in March 2014 the couple had their first date at the Orange Pub in Pimlico. The very place that they would host their rehearsal dinner nearly two years later after James proposed in Paris in 2015.
The couple desired a classic look with a pop of rich colour to compliment the bride’s dress.
A fabulous, clean-cut number by Spanish designer Jesus Peiro which Jane fell in love with at Morgan Davies Bridal. We particularly loved the pockets! Although classic, special little touches really gave it that edge. Classic with an edge is a theme that flowed throughout the day and made it a really fun wedding to be a part of.
We were thrilled to see Jane and James’ special day featured on lovemydress.net and the very talented Anneli Marinovich, the couple’s photographer also featured the wedding on her blog which is a must-see for even more lovely pictures.
The bridal bouquet was a beautiful, seasonal bouquet of roses, anemones, tulips, astilbe, lavender and foliage bound with a gorgeous deep plum, trailing ribbon – all delivered with a warm hug from Paula.
The day was overflowing with bright, vivid shades of purple complimented by softer pinks and lavender.
The bridesmaids wore deep navy Alfred Sung gowns and carried smaller bouquets of blush, plum and green.
The church was beautiful and was dressed elegantly in a statement arrangement of luxurious roses, lilac, astible, tulips, eucalyptus and ruscus.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to the Corinthia. We loved the London bus – perfect for a city wedding!
The escort table was dressed with a stunning foliage tree dripping with luxurious hanging orchids. At the base was a bed of moss and a cascading trail of blush roses.
Finally, a selection of ripe fruits alongside gold votives finished the look and gave it that feel of rich opulence.
The tables were dressed with both tall and low designs. The tall foliage based designs made that all-important initial impact and allowed the eye to flow down through the lower designs.
The overall effect was complimented by dove grey linen. A suggestion made by amazing wedding planner Alex of The Bijou Bride. Alex did a wonderful job of ensuring the whole day went without a hitch. Her attention to detail was second-to-none.
This year’s trend is green and foliage aplenty so Jane and James were very on – if not ahead of – trend.
All our thanks to the wonderful Mr and Mrs Bradshaw for asking us to be a part of such a glorious city wedding. We wish you every happiness in your marriage and we are thrilled for you both as you embark on the next chapter together.
